  1. How do the 3rd grade and under kids sign up for the JTP membership if they do not want to do the full USCF membership? We have a blank form from regionals, but no address to which to send it and no instructions of how to register online.

    1. Email me their Name, Address, Date of Birth. I can put them in and get their uscf numbers.

      1. Thank you. We have 16 kids in 3rd grade and under. I will double check which ones want JTP numbers and I’ll send you their info.

      2. Forgot to ask for an email address to privately email you. Thanks!

  2. If my teams qualified at Morton for the finals, do they have to pay for the tournament also?
When do we register them for USCF memberships if they do not have them current?

    1. Yes, we do have a team registration fee for State Finals. USCF memberships can be purchased at uschess.org/

      1. Thanks! Appreciate the response. :)

  3. Why aren’t we using CXR (Chess Express Ratings) like in Oklahoma? Nobody has to buy USCF memberships, and the TDs don’t need to look up membership expiration dates, nor ask anyone for dues money. Player registration is automated so the TDs save lots of drudge work. USCF is too expensive, and it is driving people away.

    1. Robyn,

USCF membership is required in order for an event to be rated by the USCF.
