Just wondering what the cost is for the teams to participate and how you want to receive payment.

    • admin on January 24, 2016 at 8:31 pm

Registration is available by mail until Feb. 3. Online registration will continue longer depending on the regional. Compete info is on this page as well as the flyer you can download.

  2. Ted on February 19, 2016 at 4:35 pm

Would you be able to post what teams are currently registered at the Regional tournaments sites.

    Thank you,

    • admin on February 22, 2016 at 11:40 pm

I am updating them every few days. You can find the links for each regional where it says “Check Entry” on the Calendar page.

  3. Ted on February 29, 2016 at 4:23 pm

What is the date deadline for teams that qualified for state (at regionals) need to register the team for state by?

    Thank you..

    • admin on February 29, 2016 at 6:31 pm

That information is on the letter your team received after qualifying. The date depends on what regional a team qualified from.

  4. Anna Hansel on March 3, 2016 at 10:06 pm

Is it possible for a 8th grader to play up on the 12th and under team?

  5. Stefani on March 9, 2016 at 10:58 pm

Looking at latest entry list, some listed ratings are from March and others are from January. They should all be from the same starting point.

    • admin on March 9, 2016 at 11:06 pm

They will all be updated with the March supplement.

  6. Ted on March 15, 2016 at 2:40 am

Does the 2016 Team Championship start at 8:45am on 3/19/2016?

Is that when the first round starts?

  7. Jenny on March 20, 2016 at 9:14 pm

Thank you Hammond and Morton High School for hosting! It is a huge undertaking! For next year though I think the team tourney should be in a more centrally located place. Schools from southern Indiana had to drive 5 hours to attend. I think a more central place would be better. If someone in southern Indiana hosted I am sure northern Indiana-ers would say the same thing.

Thank you very much SCI Chess. Very nice tournament.
